Difference Between Hurricanes, Typhoons and Cyclones?


95 Miles an hour wind at Beach, 16 feet tall waves are crashing down, even sharks are out to calmer waters... a hurricane, typhoon or cyclone is on its way. Let's discuss what is the difference between Hurricanes, Typhoons and Cyclones. Actually, scientists gave different names to storms based on different measures. However, these storms are based on where in the world they form. 




Hurricanes: 

If storm occur in the Gulf of Mexico, Eastern Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea is called or known as Hurricane.

Typhoon:

If storm occur in the Western Pacific Ocean, they are knowns as Typhoons.

Cyclones:

If it occur in Southern Pacific and Indian Oceans, it is known as Cyclone.
